Steven Barbieri

Steve Barbieri earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music Education from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, NY. He continued his studies, earning Masters Degrees in Music Education and Jazz Performance, both from CUNY at Queens College, NY. While in attendance at Queens College, he was the recipient of the Louis Armstrong Scholarship awarded through ASCAP. Steve is a recently retired music educator having taught public school for the past 34 years. He has always divided his time between teaching, writing, and performing professionally throughout his career. He has music published by Warner Brothers and Smart Chart Music. Steve is the author and publisher of FUNDAMENTAL JAZZ ETUDES (Volume 1) a book of jazz etudes for the beginning to intermediate level jazz student.
